Former Kerala Transport Minister AK Saseendran ready to wait
Mr Saseendran said he could not look at the situation from an ordinary citizen's point of view.
Thiruvananthapuram: Former Transport Minister A K Saseendran has said he does not plan to file a civil and criminal defamation suit against the TV channel that telecast a dubious news item since his advocates have advised him to await the outcome of the judicial inquiry.
When contacted, Mr Saseendran told DC that he would abide by the Government decision and refrain from filing a police complaint either.
“Issues are such that one can go only by the advice of the advocates”, he said when it was pointed out that there was a general perception that the best possible option for him to clear his name was thru the defamation suit.
Asked whether it was not imprudent to allow his reputation to remain sullied till the end of a usually long-drawn judicial enquiry, Mr Saseendran said he could not look at the situation from an ordinary citizen’s point of view.
He could not choose a path different that the Government had set forth.
