Irrigation minister Harish Rao corners Congress
The minister asked the TS Congress leaders to clarify whether they needed the project or not
Hyderabad: Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao on Friday questioned TS Congress leaders why they did not counter the objections by AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and AP Congress leaders to the TRS government taking up the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme, when they were aware that it was approved by the previous Congress government.
Launching the lift scheme works on Friday at Yedulapur in Mahbubnagar district, the minister asked the TS Congress leaders to clarify whether they needed the project or not and whether they supported or condemned the statements by AP leaders.
He reminded the people that former minister D.K. Aruna had supported APCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy when time he inaugurated the Handri-Neeva project and wondered why she was silent over the AP leaders’ objections.
