Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah: HDK, Amit Shah travelled in same plane, proof soon
Teaming up with the looters will never be accepted by our voters. The BJP will never come to power in the state.
Belagavi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday alleged that JD(S) state president H.D. Kumaraswamy and BJP national president Amit Shah travelled together in the same aircraft to New Delhi recently. “I will release the proof of their travel together at the right time,” he said, reiterating that the Janata Dal (Secular) is the ‘B’ team of BJP.
He said that the people of the state will never support the association of BJP with the Reddy brothers of Ballari. “Teaming up with the looters will never be accepted by our voters. The BJP will never come to power in the state,” he asserted.
He said that BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa is a tainted leader who has never spoken truth in his entire life. “Even at the age of 75, Mr Yeddyurappa is unaware what actually constitutes parliamentary language. I can speak far worse than Mr Yeddyurappa, but I will not do so,” he said.
The Election Commission should declare Vijayapura city constituency as “hypersensitive ” and deploy paramilitary forces to ensure a free and fair election, said former union minister and BJP candidate Basangouda Patil Yatnal.
Calling his Congress rival from Vijayapura Abdul Hameed Mushrif as a leader with criminal background at a press conference here, Mr Yatnal said Mushrif did not disclose in his nomination papers the number of criminal cases he is facing.
“Mushrif continued his goonda activities and threatened Mohammad Sajid Loni, a candidate of Mahila Empowerment Party (MEP), to withdraw his papers and even kidnapped Loni’s daughter,” Mr Yatnal alleged.
He urged the EC to consider such incidents seriously and declare Vijayapura as a “hypersensitive constituency.” Mr Yatnal also demanded that all rowdies be externed from Vijayapura till the elections are over. He said he will provide EC officials the details about Mushrif’s criminal cases.
