Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samiti founder and president Prof M. Kondandaram criticised the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti government during the party’s first public meeting held at Saroornagar Stadium on Sunday.

Terming the ruling government “feudal” and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao a “fascist”, he asserted that he would fight until he brought the party down from power.

As many as 1,000 people were accommodated on the stage, including students of Osmania, Kakatiya and Satavahana University, who played a major role in Telangana statehood agitation. The meeting saw participation from nearly 30,000 people from all 31 districts of TS, and it saw Kondandaram addressing every issue pertaining to farmers, unemployed youth, wage hike of contract workers, and misuse of resources in the state.

The journey, he said, had just begun, and it would not end until it achieved social justice for Telangana, and assured that the party would provide political opportunities to people from every walk of life with dignity.  He promised quality free education and health would be the party’s primary agenda.

He said that TS achieved its separate statehood with everyone’s combined effort and it wasn’t won single-handedly by KCR as TRS leaders claim.
