Will tie up with TRS if it is ready, says Amit Shah
BJP president Amit Shah says party will emerge strong in Telangana.
Hyderabad: BJP national president, Amit Shah on Sunday stated that his party would consider an alliance with the TRS if the regional party approached it on the subject.
As of now, there is no understanding between both parties, Mr Shah said, adding that the BJP will emerge a a force to reckon with by 2019 in Telangana state.

Mr Shah said that the BJP would continue to sail with the Telugu Desam in Andhra Pra-desh. When asked about friction between the two parties on giving special status to AP, he clarified that there are technical and administrative issues. “We are trying to do what all is possible. Otherwise also, the NDA government is committed to extending all support to AP in the same spirit,” he stressed.

Responding to a query about the Centre ignoring drought-ridden AP and TS, Mr Shah pointed out that that the Modi government was taking all steps to lend a helping hand to states. “We have sought all reports from each of the states and even held discussions with the respective CMs. Funds were also released. Unlike the Congress which used to hold meetings for namesake and then wash its hands off, our government is seriously addressing the issue from each state’s point of view,” he pointed out.
