Bengaluru: In a scathing attack on the Congress- JD(S) coalition government in the state, state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa said that the proposed budget of the government will have no sanctity.

Inaugurating the BJP's  first state executive meeting after the Assembly elections, Mr Yeddyurappa advised BJP leaders and workers to put aside their egos and invite potential leaders of Congress and JD(S) to join the party.

He called on party leaders and the cadre to get ready for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections ande set them a target of winning 25 MP seats.

“Leaders and party workers should prepare for the Lok Sabha elections from today onwards and also expose the unholy alliance of the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) before the public,” Mr Yeddyurappa  said.

“Both the coalition partners are fighting over the presentation of a fresh budget, as an opposition party we will wait till the presentation of the budget. How can a party having 39 MLAs present the budget, if the government goes ahead with the budget, it will have no sanctity,” Mr Yeddyurappa asserted.

The state executive resolved to fight the ‘unholy’ alliance of the Congress and JD(S) and also launch a state-wide agitation after July 12  if the government failed to waive off loans availed by farmers, weavers and women self help groups.
