Start Protests and Agitations on Public Issues: Purandeswari
VIJAYAWADA: State BJP president Daggubati Purandeswari has asked the party’s affiliated wings to start protests and agitations against the state government on various public issues and take the party to every nook and corner. There, she said, was a need to spread awareness among the AP people about the many centrally sponsored schemes and funds distribution to the state, by undertaking mass awareness programmes.
Purandeswari participated in Prime Minister Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday. “Do not to link Mann Ki Baat to politics as it makes the people aware of the good things being done in areas like Jammu and Kashmir, the planting of 30 crore saplings by the government in Uttar Pradesh, the 2500 years-old idols being brought back from America,” Purandeswari said.
“It also spoke about matters like Vicharpur, a tribal village in Madhya Pradesh that is known as Mini Brazil due to its special skills in football and such interesting facts.”
At the state-level meeting of BJP cells and affiliated departments, Purandeshwari called upon the BJP leaders to identify the problems of different professions, castes and communities in the state and take part in their struggles.
Later, she attended a joint meeting of the RTA Cell and Legal Cell. She said if the RTA cell and legal cell worked together, “good results can be achieved.” She said these cells should wage a joint fight against the role of the mafia in mining.
“The movement can be built based on the information received through RTI. Attention should be focused on issues of elimination of eligible names in the voter list. Also, BJP workers should instill confidence in the activists who are fighting through RTA on public issues,” she said.
BJP state general secretary S Vishnuvardhan Reddy, BJP state vice-president Chandra Mouli and others participated in the programme.
