Let’s pledge to bring BJP-mukt Bharat: KCR
KARIMNAGAR: Unleashing a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao urged the people to take a pledge to make India “BJP-mukt Bharat” in the 2024 elections.
Addressing a mammoth rally at Peddakalwala on the outskirts of Peddapalli on Monday, Chandrashekar Rao said, “We all should take a pledge and be prepared to create BJP-mukt Bharat in 2024. We should march forward with that slogan. Then only we can save this country, otherwise there is no scope to save this nation,” he said.
Showing the Gujarat state as a role model for the country and by cheating people, the BJP came to the power at the Centre and later started deceiving people by increasing the prices of daily commodities, petrol, diesel and domestic gas cylinders, he said.
In the coming 2024 elections, the people are going to dethrone the BJP government and teach a fitting lesson by forming a farmer’s government at the Centre, predicted Chandrashekar Rao after getting a big round of applause from the audience when he asked if they wanted him to go to national politics or not.
For the first time after the formation of Telangana state, Chandrashekar Rao visited Peddapalli district and inaugurated the Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s (TRS) office at Goureddypet and the collectorate complex building constructed at a cost of
Rs 48.5 crore in Peddapalli town on Monday.
Chandrashekar Rao said people never thought of Peddapalli becoming a separate district, but after the formation of Telangana state, it became reality. “Several people in this region are getting employment opportunities because of the presence of Singareni and we are able to give the highest bonus to the Singareni employees in the country. Ramagundam town was made into a corporation apart from forming three municipalities Peddapalli, Sulthanabad and Manthani,” he said.
Farmers from around 26 states visited Telangana and were surprised to see the welfare schemes implemented for the betterment of all sections of people including the farming sector in the state, he said, adding that they had requested him to join national politics.
Without any foresight and not able to rule properly, the BJP ruined the Indian economy and was responsible for the downfall of rupee value in the International market, he said.
The Chief Minister showered many sops on Peddapalli district including a new medical college in Ramagundam, Rs 1 lakh for 266 village panchayats Rs 1 crore each for Ramagundam corporation and three municipalities Peddapalli, Manthani and Sulthanabad.
