Warangal: Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Manda Krishna Madiga came down heavily on former deputy Chief Minister and BRS MLC Kadiyam Srihari by calling him a ‘cunning jackal’ for cheating the people around him. In a protest against the denial of a BRS ticket to Station Ghanpur MLA Rajaiah and to bring the members of the Madiga community together, Manda Krishna held a massive meeting called ‘Madigala Astithvam Atmagauravam’ in Station Ghanpur constituency of the Jangaon district on Tuesday.

Krishna, who was the old rival of Kadiyam Srihari, attacked the MLC by alleging that the latter had conspired to remove Rajaiah from the deputy chief minister post during the first Cabinet of Telangana state. He also colluded with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to deprive Rajaiah of the party ticket. He demanded the BRS leadership explain to the people why it did not give the poll ticket to Rajaiah when it gave it to all the incumbents.

Meanwhile, sources said that MLA Rajaiah was looking at either the Congress or the BSP in case the BRS does not allot a ticket to him. One of his followers under the condition of anonymity, told Deccan Chronicle that Rajaiah was in touch with CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and also with BSP state chief R.S. Praveen Kumar. “He is ready to contest the Assembly elections on a ticket from whichever party nominates him,” he said.
