Supporters urge Tummala to contest from Paleru
Khammam: Supporters of former minister Tummala Nageswhar Rao criticised the BRS leadership for refusing him a party ticket from Paleru and neglecting him who had strengthened the party in the Khammam district. Meetings are being organised in various places in support of Tummala in the Paleru constituency.
They held a meeting at Dhammapeta and passed a resolution in support of Tummala and requested him to contest from Paleru. Some of Tummala’s supporters opined that he should join the Congress and there was no other option but to show his political strength.
Leaders from the Kamma community supporting Tummala say he had good relations with their community members and leaders and could influence politics in Khammam, Nizamabad, Warangal and even in Hyderabad. They rued that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had done an injustice to Tummala by denying him a party ticket to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections.
