Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao takes out ire on Kodandaram
Mr Rao was responding to a mediaperson who asked him for his reaction to Prof. Kodandaram's appeal.
Hyderabad: For the first time after becoming Chief Minister, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday directly abused Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram, his comrade-in-arms during the statehood struggle, saying “He does not have brains”.
Mr Rao was responding to a mediaperson who asked him for his reaction to Prof. Kodandaram’s appeal to defeat the TRS-sponsored Telangana Boggu Gani Karimukula Sangham (TBGKS) in the Singareni Collieres union elections so that it would be an “eye-opener” for the Chief Minister.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao immediately shot back: “Yevvaraayana (Who is he)? What responsibility does he hold? Does he have any brain? Netti, katti lenodu (He doesn’t have a brain or a weapon). Talks all nonsense”.
He said, “Can we expect anyone to oppose the government scheme of providing Rs 8,000 subsidy per acre per year to each and every farmer? That man (Kodandaram) opposes even this.”
