BJP slams Owaisi’s comments on PFI ban
HYDERABAD: A day after All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s opposed the Centre's ban on the People's Front of India (PFI), the Telangana BJP on Thursday questioned why the AIMIM chief had not taken measures to prevent PFI members from engaging in terrorist activities.
Reacting to Owaisi's comments that he always opposed PFI's approach and supported democratic methods, Subhash said, "Merely issuing statements condemning an act is not controlling terrorism." While congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the PFI ban, BJP spokesperson N.V. Subhash stated that the BJP has been steadfast in its opposition to terror organisations
and that the central government will never allow them to operate. There will be no compromise on national security, and every effort will be made to protect the country, he asserted.
