Bommai gives job to wife of slain BJP worker
MANGULURU: Keeping up his promise, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has provided a job to Praveen Nettaru’s wife Nuthana Kumari in his office.
Praveen Nettaru, the Dakshina Kannada district committee member of the BJP youth wing was murdered on July 26. PFI and communal forces were blamed for the murder. Three days ago, while imposing the ban on PFI, the central government mentioned this murder along with nine others.
During his visit to the house of Praveen, the Chief Minister had assured the deceased BJP worker’s family that he would provide a job to Praveen’s wife.
A notification was issued by the government on September 29 which stated that Nuthana Kumari M, the wife of Praveen, has been hired for a Group C post in the Chief Minister’s office. The government has fixed a monthly salary of Rs 30,350 and hired her on a contract basis till the term of Bommai as the CM or until further order.
“The government and our party have stood by the family of Praveen Nettaru. While financial assistance was provided for the family and help was extended for the construction of a house, the Chief Minister provided a job for Praveen’s wife in his office. This shows that the government and BJP are with the party workers and their family members,” Mangaluru Vibhag Prabhari K Uday Kumar Shetty told Deccan Chronicle.
