Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu asked TRS president and TS caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar to make his stand clear on where he stood vis-a-vis the BJP.

“The country has two fronts, one the BJP and another Congress joined by the regional parties who are anti-BJP. Where does KCR stand?” Mr Naidu asked.
Mr Naidu, a star campaigner of the People’s Front, on day 2 of his campaign in the city, visited Serilingampally, Kothaguda and Kavuri Hills, home to most of the migrants from Andhra Pradesh.

He campaigned for TD candidate V. Ananda Prasad, a builder-cum-producer contesting from Serilingampally. During the road show, Mr Naidu, who has been roundly abused by Mr Rao and his ministers, asked, “Is it right for KCR to abuse me? What harm did I do.” The crowd shouted in his support.

“KCR is targeting me to divert public attention from the unkept promises. Why has KCR not stood up when there were attacks on Dalit community and minorities. Why is he not questioning the Centre on corruption, why has he not raised the Rafale deal? In Serilingampally, there is no water, roads, hospital or a school or college,” Mr Naidu said.

“I developed Cyberabad. One lakh people secured employment due to Hitec City and Mindspace. Even K.T. Rama Rao attributed the development to me while addressing a corporate company. I brought in technology-based companies to Cyberabad. The landlord in Cyberabad benefited as real estate market boomed during my rule,” he said.

The TD president assured that the People’s Front if elected would provide five lakh houses to the public. For the Kapu community he offered to set up a Kapu Corporation.

During the road shows at Sanathnagar and Serilingampally, a majority of the crowd that turned appeared to be employees from the IT companies. Many in the crowd carried placards that read, “We Miss U”, “We are here because of U”, “Come Back, We want U”. The crowd cheered at Mr Naidu’s claims such as “I am the creator of modern Telangana and Cyberabad.”
