Muslims Voters Likely to Decide the Results in Three Constituencies
Adilabad: Muslim voters are likely to decide the results in Adilabad, Nirmal and Mudhole constituencies, out of the 10 constituencies in the erstwhile undivided Adilabad district.
Analysts believe that whichever party — the BRS or the Congress — wins the greater percentage of Muslim vote will win in these constituencies.
On the other hand, BJP and other candidates tried to consolidate Hindu vote bank. BJP leaders are also confident of winning in these seats given the possible split of the Muslim votes between the BRS and the Congress.
BRS candidates are analysing how much percentage of Muslim votes they secured. They were, however, confused over polling trends. It is said that the high-intense campaign by top BJP national leaders may also have some impact on the polling trends. MIM leaders too said they were unable to figure out how the voting had panned out.
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi did not visit these constituencies to avoid any possible consolidation of the Hindu vote but he coordinated with party leaders to ensure the victory of the BRS candidates.
BJP leaders are confident of winning more than two seats out of six seats where their candidates gave a tough fight.
