Karimnagar Congress in disarray
The infighting saw meeting disrupted for over 30 minutes.
KARIMNAGAR: Internal differences among Congress leaders come to fore at an extended meeting of District Congress Committee's executive body held here on Monday.
The infighting saw meeting disrupted for over 30 minutes. The row started when former Mankondur MLA and TPCC SC cell chairman Arepalli Mohan alleged that protocol was not being followed when conducting meetings and programmes of the Congress. He faulted DCC chief K. Mruthyunjayam for not informing him at the time of organising major events on behalf of the party. He said he was not given importance as he was a Dalit.
Mr Mruthyunjayam offered to explain, but Mr Mohan continued his accusations. This resulted in slogan shouting, following which senior leaders stepped in and restored peace.
