Modi govt provided peace, stability, corruption-free rule, says Bandi Sanjay
KARIMNAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered the nation peace, stability and a corruption-free government, state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay claimed here on Tuesday.
“Scams like 2G Spectrum, CWG scam and coal scam took place during the period of the UPA governments. People lived in constant fear of bomb blasts. But, under Modi’s rule, we have a corruption-free government that maintains peace and harmony," the Karimnagar MP said.
He was speaking in a meeting of BJP leaders from the Karimnagar parliament segment here on Tuesday.
He said that during the Covid outbreak, the Modi government supplied vaccine not only to the people here but also exported it to around 50 countries. During the BJP rule at the Centre since 2014, as many as 74 airports were established, 20 Vande Bharat trains and 15 metro trains rolled out and 15 AIIMS and seven IITs established, he said.
“Under the PM Awas Yojana, 3.5 crore houses were constructed for the shelterless poor. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, drinking water was supplied to around 12 crore households. Toilets were set up for the poor in their homes by spending Rs 11.72 crore. These apart, free rations were distributed to around 80 crore people every week during the Covid period under PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana Scheme,” he said.
Through the Modi government’s Jan Dan Yojana scheme, zero- balance bank accounts were opened for about 78.5 crore people. By introducing Ayushman Bharat, free medical treatment up to a limit of Rs 5 lakh is being provided to the poor. By re-opening the Ramagundam company, fertilizers are supplied on subsidy basis to the farmers, he noted.
He appealed to the BJP rank and file to explain these to the people by visiting every household in the name of the Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan lasting the full month of June to mark completion of nine years of the Modi government.
BJP leaders Praveen Rao, Chada Suresh, former minister Suddala Devaiah, former MLAs NVSS Prabhakar, Bodiga Shoba, Krishna Reddy, Satyanarayana, Ramakrishna and Mohan Reddy were prominently present.
