Kurnool: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s efforts to give a “return gift” to his AP counterpart Chandrababu Naidu may not be realised as he was seen as a bête noire who put a spoke in realising the dreams of Andhra Pradesh including special category status.

Kurnool MLA S.V. Mohan Reddy on Sunday said Mr Rao was trying to hurt the interests of farmers in Rayalaseema by drawing waters from Krishna river and putting obstacles in the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme.

Slamming Mr Rao for his outburst against AP Chief Minister, he said it was Mr Chandrababu Naidu who made him a minister and paved the way for his growth in politics. “Telugu people will never forgive Mr Chandrasekhar Rao as he gave a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Special Category status,” he said, adding that Mr Rao should withdraw his uncalled for outburst against Mr Naidu and apologise to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
