Modi Is Psychologically Collapsed, Says Rahul
The future of the youth is uncertain amidst the rampant paper leaks, he said
New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack over the alleged irregularities in the Neet-UG exam and the cancellation of UGC-NET, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has "psychologically collapsed" post-election and will struggle to run a government like this. He said the main reason for paper leaks is that educational institutions have been captured by the BJP and its parent organisation, the RSS, and paper leaks will not stop unless that is reversed.
At a press conference in the national capital, when asked about the government's alleged silence after the accused admitted receiving Neet-UG question papers beforehand, Mr Gandhi said, “Silence is because the Prime Minister is crippled. Right now, the PM's main agenda is the (election of) Speaker. He is bothered about his government and the Speaker (election)...The Prime Minister has psychologically collapsed and, knowing his personality, he will struggle to run a government like this.”
The former Congress president also took a jibe at the Prime Minister's image, saying the Opposition has demolished the “concept of Narendra Modi”.
“Now no one is afraid of him. People ridicule him…The chest, which was earlier 56 inches, now I cannot give the number, but it has become 30-32 (inches),” Mr Gandhi said.
"Paper leaks are happening because all the universities and their vice-chancellors have been captured by the BJP and its parent organisation. They have penetrated the educational institutions and destroyed them... As long as this capture cannot be reversed, paper leaks will continue," he added.
Pointing to the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, Mr Gandhi, who earlier called the BJP-ruled states the "epicentre of paper leaks", today said this is now being replicated across the country.
Mr Gandhi also said that the Opposition will raise the exam paper leaks issue in Parliament, asserting that it will pressure the government to take action and bring the guilty to book.
The frontal organisations of the Congress will be protesting on Friday against the Neet irregularities across the country. They also plan to march to Parliament on Friday. Mr Gandhi will likely also join in the protest march.
Earlier in the day, a delegation of Neet aspirants also met the Congress leader. After the meeting one of the aspirants said, “Mr Gandhi assured us of his support."
