Hyderabad: Telangana Diagnostics, the nodal facility for conducting a number of health-related tests for patients going to government clinics and hospitals, is being ignored and the services have been severely affected, former health minister T. Harish Rao alleged on Monday.

He said that the staff working with Telangana Diagnostics were not being paid salaries for the past six months, and testing was affected. Harish Rao, in a post on X, said Telangana Diagnostics was started during the BRS rule and provides 134 different kinds of tests for lakhs of patients availing healthcare in government hospitals.

“The services have collapsed and it is tragic to see a service created to help the poor has been neglected by the Congress government. At least now, the government should take note of the problems in Telangana Diagnostics, pay pending salaries to doctors and staff, and bring the services back on line and ensure healthcare for the poor is not further affected,” Harish Rao said.
