Sangareddy: Massive Fire Breaks out in a Pharma Firm Due to Solvent Leakage, No Casualty

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out at a Hetero Pharma plant at Kazipally of Sangareddy district on Monday following a leakage of solvents at about 3.40 pm on Monday. There were no casualties. The fire occurred at an open place, where there were no workers.

P.A. Sudarshan Patencheru additional district fire officer said that two fire tenders were sent to the spot, by which time fire tenders of the pharma firm had started battling the fire. The blaze was extinguished at about 7 pm. Fire and police officials have started an investigation.

This is a second fire mishap in Sangareddy district. On May 25, a scrap godown caught fire at the Bonthapally industrial area in Jinnaram mandal. Chemical drums exploded due the fire.
