Sriganesh Lines Up Tasks That Need Priority
Hyderabad: A flurry of activities marked the first day of the Secunderabad Cantonment's newly elected MLA N. Sriganesh on Thursday. He started the day with a courtesy visit to his political mentor, TPCC working president and former minister J. Geetha Reddy.
Sriganesh inaugurated a community meal service organised by the Vasavi Seva Samithi in the Ward 5 of his constituency. "The initiative aims to provide meals to the poor, something that the MLA has been doing for years through his personal charitable organisations as well," a Congress worker told Deccan Chronicle.
The MLA visited the residents of Amaravati Colony in Ward 5 Karkhana. "This isn't just something that sir and his team plan to do for a few days. It will be a regular job of his — to meet people regularly and learn about their problems," the worked shared.
The MLA expressed gratitude for the support he received in the elections. The residents felicitated Sriganesh with a shawl and extended their congratulations on his victory.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Sriganesh said the first things on his agenda include ensuring residents of the Secunderabad Cantonment receive proper water supply on alternate days, just like the rest of Hyderabad.
"This has been a long pending issue that needs immediate attention. Next on my focus are schools in the Cantonment area that are to reopen in a week's time. The infrastructure here is extremely bad and needs a lot of fixing, this will be followed by working on the sports and recreational means in this constituency," he said, adding that for the first month or two, he will be touring the entire constituency and meet.
