Srisailam Brahmotsavam Ends with Purnahuti
Kurnool: The Sankranti Brahmotsavam at Srisailam concluded with the sacred Purnahuti ceremony on Wednesday.
Priests performed special rituals dedicated to Sri Chandeeswara Swamy within the sanctified premises of the Sri Swamy Yagashala. Following Purnahuti, Kalashodwasana, Trisula Snanam and Mahadasheervachanam were performed.
Purnahuti ceremony, the pinnacle of sacrificial offerings, involved various aromatic spices and new garments. Subsequently, Vasantotsavam was celebrated. In continuation of the divine proceedings. Chandeeswara Swamy underwent a ritualistic bath known as Avabrutha Snanam in Pushkarini.
The evening witnessed significant rituals like Sadashyam, Nagavalli and Dhwajarohanam at Nithyakalyana Mandapam. Vedic scholars enriched the atmosphere during the Vedasvasti ceremony with their profound chanting and blessings.
Saplings of diverse varieties, including mango, Simhachalam Sampangi, Sapota, Panasa, Neredu and more, found their new home in the Goshala of the Devasthanam.
Board of Trustees chairman Reddyvari Chakrapani Reddy, executive officer (EO) D. Peddiraju, trust board member O. Madhusudan Reddy and temple AEO I.N.V. Mohan were among those who participated in the ceremonies.
