Supriya Sahu, Gagandeep Singh transferred
Chennai: Several top level IAS officers were transferred by the State government on Monday with Supriya Sahu, who has been taking care of the department of Environment, Climate Change and Forest as Additional Chief Secretary, being shifted to the Health and Family Welfare department.
Another popular senior officer Gagandeep Singh, who was heading the Health and Family Welfare department, has been entrusted with the running of the Department of Rural Development and Panchyat Raj, while Pradeep Yadav has been shifted to Higher Education from Highways and Minor Ports.
The government has sanctioned the creation of temporary posts of Additional Chief Secretary for the departments of PWD, Rural Development and Panchyat Raj and Higher Education and the post of principal secretary for the Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department, the official notification on the transfers said.
So, Mangat Ram Sharma, hitherto taking care of Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, will take care of PWD replacing B Chandra Mohan, who has been given Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowment that was earlier held by K Manivasan.
Manivasan will be in charge of Water Resources and P Senthil Kumar, who was principal secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, has been shifted to Environment, Climate Change and Forest.
The other officers whose departments have been change in the reshuffled are: R Selvaraj (to Highways and Minor Ports from Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project), A John Louis (from Arasu Cable TV to Social Security scheme) and M Vijayalakshmi (from Housing and Urban Development to Indian Medicine and Homeopathy).
Commissioner of Land Reforms N Venkatachalam has been shifted to department of Archives and Historic Research and TN Hariharan from AIDS Control Society has been brought into Land Reforms.
R Lilly has been transferred to transport department as special secretary from Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Sandeep Saxena from Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources, Water Resources, to CMD of Newsprint and Papers, M Saikiran, from newsprint and papers to TIIC as CMD and R Vaithilingam, director of information and public relations has been entrusted full charge of Arasu Cables.
