Chennai: The recent Assembly session saw Chief Minister M K Stalin coming up with a slew of important announcements between June 20 and 29 that were all aimed at the development of the State and the benefit of the people, particularly youth.

The one to develop 10,000 km of country roads at a cost of Rs 450 crore will contribute to the overall development of the State since it would lead to the growth of rural areas and provide them connectivity with nearby urban conglomerates, improving the opportunities of village youth to go out in search of greener pastures.

In fact the assurance to fill up 75,000 job vacancies in the government was a big boon the youth of the State as their livelihood has been assured by the government that would the State to the next level of economic development by launching the international airport at Hosur that has already turned into an industrial hub with several companies setting up shop there.

The opening of a library of global standards and also a scientific centre at Trichy would lead to the growth of not just the city located in the heart of State but the entire State itself, benefiting people from various districts around it.

Another revolutionary announcement was the renovation of 6746 housing colonies at a cost of Rs 1149 crore that would go a long way in solving the looming housing problem in the State.
