Vijayawada: A delegation of Telugu Desam leaders led by its national spokesperson K. Pattabhi Ram tried to meet the former Krishna district SP, P. Joshua, at his farm house here on Wednesday to express their ‘gratitude’ to him but in vain.

Joshua allegedly implicated TD leader Pattabhi Ram in a case and detained him in the Thotlavalluru police station on Feb. 20, 2023 and reportedly subjected him to third-degree treatment.

Subsequently, the SP was moved to Chittoor in the same position. However, the Election Commission withdrew him from election duty.

Now, the SP, without a posting, is reportedly staying in his farm house.

Learning about the SP’s presence, the presently victorious TD delegation went to his farm house to express their ‘gratitude’ to him for the raw deal he gave them earlier.

The delegation could not find the SP in the farm house. They gave a bouquet of flowers and a shawl to the SP’s staff members and sent a video message to his mobile phone which was found switched off.

Pattabhi Ram said, “I was implicated in a false case and was detained illegally and even subjected to third degree treatment at Thotlavalluru police station. I along with our party leaders wanted to meet him at his farm house to express my ‘gratitude’ to him but he was not available. We were informed that soon after the election results were out, he moved out and switched off his mobile phone.”
