New TG emblem, anthem to debut on Formation Day

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday finalised the Telangana government's official anthem and emblem, which would be released on June 2 on the occasion of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.

He reviewed Telangana anthem and emblem with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Jaya Jaya Hey Telangana lyricist Ande Sri, music director M.M. Keeravani and emblem designer Rudra Rajesham at the Chief Minister's residence in Jubilee Hills. The final version of the anthem was performed by the singers and composer at the review meeting.

According to officials, the new anthem and emblem will reflect Telangana's culture and tradition. The new anthem will have some tunes paying tributes to Telangana martyrs.

The government has made all arrangements for the Telangana Formation Day at Parade Grounds and Tank Bund. Officials monitored the arrangements being made at the Parade Grounds.

Several cultural programmes, carnival, laser show, food and gaming stalls were set up on the Tank Bund, which will be attended by the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues among others. About 80 handicraft stalls and gaming shows are being set up on the Tank Bund.
