Yandamuri Virendranath gets Lok Nayak Foundation award

 Visakhapatnam: The winner of this year’s Lok Nayak Foundation Award is famous novelist Yandamuri Virendranath.

Foundation president Padma Bhushan Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad made the announcement in this regard at a press conference in the AU Hindi Bhavan on Friday.

Lakshmi Prasad pointed out that the Lok Nayak Foundation has been giving this award to those excelling in various fields for the past 19 years on the occasion of NTR's death anniversary.

Popular actor Chiranjeevi will be presenting this year’s Rs 2-lakh cash award to Yandamuri Virendranath for his literary achievements.

The foundation will also present cash awards of Rs 50,000 each to international tourism expert Wilson Sudhakar Thulumilli, Bengaluru Telugu Samakhya president Radhakrishnan Raju and famous psychiatrist Dr. Indla Ramasubba Reddy.
