Hyderabad: Union coal minister G. Kishan Reddy said a tacit understanding between the AIMIM and the Congress had led to his reduced majority in the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat. The two parties worked together in Nampally and Jubilee Hills Assembly segments under Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat in a secret manner and it led to a drastic fall of 62,000 votes for the party in Nampally alone.

Addressing the party booth presidents and coordinators of Jubilee Hills Assembly segment, Kishan Reddy thanked the party workers for his victory and said the party had failed to make counter-strategy to some extent in these two Assembly segments.

The Congress had not carried out any election campaign in the Nampally Assembly segment due to its understanding with MIM. The MIM workers took the full responsibility for Congress victory and worked under the Congress party flag, he said.

Stating that the BJP failed to get majority in two Assembly segments out of seven in Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat limits, Kishan Reddy said the BJP vote share had increased in Nampally even after 62,000 votes were reduced for the party.

He also charged that some international forces have conspired to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP in the last General Elections as they are worried over the growing clout for the country in international affairs. After Jawaharlal Nehru, Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister to form a non-Congress government for three consecutive terms, he said.
