Kurnool: Industries, commerce, and food processing minister T.G. Bharath expressed dissatisfaction with maintenance at Kurnool Government General Hospital, where people face unresolved issues. During a surprise visit on Sunday evening, the minister found problems including poor sanitation, drinking water scarcity, non-functioning medical equipment like X-ray and CT scan machines, and power cuts.

Bharath inspected various wards and interacted with patients to assess medical services and facilities. He announced that he would take measures to resolve these issues shortly, mentioning that he had already discussed electrical problems with department officials and directed the hospital superintendent to take immediate action.

The minister criticised poor sanitation management during the previous regime, suggesting the set up of trash bins and the use of disinfectants. He noted that air conditioners in the paediatric ICU haven't worked for five years and asked for their repair. Bharath also pointed out that while his TGV group had set up free mineral water plants, poor maintenance prevented patients from receiving clean drinking water.
