State expects to achieve a growth rate of 15% per year under Swarnandhra Vision Document 2047, says CM

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has said Andhra Pradesh aims for a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047 while achieving a growth rate of 15% per year as envisioned in the newly drafted Swarnandhra Vision Document 2047.

Naidu held a meeting with Niti Aayog CEO, BVR Subramanyam, on Wednesday to discuss the document.

The meeting was held at the state secretariat in Velagapudi, in which Subramanyam along with the adviser and directors of NITI Aayog, state finance minister Payyavula Keshav and officials from various departments participated.

It discussed the ways for effective implementation of the central government schemes in AP. Naidu explained that the document was prepared with the aim of achieving a growth rate of 15 per cent per annum.

He said the vision document has been prepared at the levels of state, district and constituency.” We aim at developing AP into a 2.4 trillion dollar economy by 2047.”

Naidu explained to the CEO of Niti Aayog that an action plan has been prepared to achieve development in agriculture, aqua and other sectors. Due importance has been given to poverty alleviation, ease of living, development of social infrastructure, demographic management, data centre and artificial intelligence.

Later, the chief minister stated on his social media page, “Our Vision 2047 blueprint includes inputs from over 1.8 million citizens. It spans 12 sectors and places a special focus on achieving zero poverty with P4.”

He said, “The focus areas we discussed were Araku and Tirupati regions (to be developed) as Ayurvedic Hubs and Amaravati, Tirupati, Vizag, Kurnool, Kakinada and Nellore as growth hubs.” The meeting also “discussed creation of three coastal economic zones, 25 industrial zones across 3 economic corridors in 15 sectors, subjects like Zero school dropouts, quality education, employment opportunities, improved healthcare and increasing farmers' income.”

“Previously, (the aim of) one IT professional per family achieved improved per capita income and quality of life. Now, our goal is to bring about a revolutionary change with "one family, one entrepreneur," the CM stated.
