Auto driver gets life imprisonment for 2014 murder

Hyderabad:The LB nagar sessions court on Wednesday sentenced a rowdy sheeter to life imprisonment for a 2014 murder case in the then Rajendranagar (now Attapur police station) police station limits.

According to Attapur inspector G. Venkat Rami Reddy, the 34-year-old auto driver from Pahadi Shareef Syed Sadiq Hussain was also imposed a fine of `1,000.

He reportedly was part of a gang of pickpockets. He reportedly had a fight with the deceased - Haji - for an extra share of money. He is reported to have stabbed Haji.

Later, he surrendered before the police in the same year. A case was registered against him initially under crime no. 1262/2014, which was later changed to crime no. 598/2016 (after Attapur police station was formed), under sections 302, 201 r/w 34 of the IPC.
