Case against teacher for thrashing child

Hyderabad:Police on Friday registered a case against a teacher of Kakatiya High School in Ramanthapur, Uppal, for allegedly assaulting a student for not doing homework.

According to inspector Election Reddy, the teacher, Ghanshyam, beat up a 13-year-old child, who ended up with serious injuries. The child's parents reported the matter to the police. The teacher was served notices from the police.

Man gets lifer for sexually assaulting daughter

Hyderabad: The LB Nagar Special Court on Friday sentenced a man to simple life imprisonment for sexually assaulting his daughter in 2023. The court awarded a compensation of `15 lakh to the victim.

The name of the convict is withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

The case was booked and investigated by the Saroornagar Police. The accused is a labourer from Mahbubnagar. The convict was directed to pay a fine of `30,000 as well.
