Warangal:The Mills Colony police have filed a case against Modem Praveen, a former director of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) and a close associate of ex-BRS party MLA Nannapneni Narendar. Praveen is accused of defrauding a young man by promising him a job at the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) and a double-bedroom house.

According to police reports, Praveen, a resident of SRR Thota in Warangal city, allegedly collected Rs. 5 lakh from Samudrala Rambabu, a resident of NTR Nagar. In return, Praveen promised Rambabu a municipal job and a housing allotment.

When Praveen failed to deliver on his promises, Rambabu requested a refund. Instead of returning the money, Praveen reportedly assaulted Rambabu and threatened him with further violence if he continued to demand a refund.

Following Rambabu’s complaint, the Mills Colony police have charged Praveen under sections BNS 318 (4), 114 (2), 296, and 351 (2) and have launched an investigation into the matter.
