Karkhana police arrest pickpocket gang leader Jahangeer, recover 10g gold, hunt on for associates after Bonalu thefts
Hyderabad: The Karkhana police crime teams arrested a habitual and a notorious picket pocketier cum thief wanted for committing offences during the Bonalu and recovered 10 grams of gold jewellery from his possession.
The accused who is the prime accused and gang leader of the notorious theft and pickpocketing gang identified as Mohammed Jahnageer (30) who was identified through the CCTV footage on August 12 along with his associates that include a juvenile suspect, executed a theft operation amidst the festival crowd, targeting a gold chain from the neck of a festival goer near Mahankali Temple, police said.

Accused Mohammed Jahangeer a painter by profession and a resident of Mallapally was earlar arrested over seven theft and pocket picking case by the city police.
The crime team identified and arrested the accused Jahangir from his house in Mallapally late on Wednesday night, police said.
The accused along with seized property has been produced before the court and sent for judicial remand.
While Jahangir’s associates Mohammed Ameer alias Shaik Ameer, Md Shafi and a 15-year-old CCL suspect are at large, police said.
Special teams of Karkhana police are making efforts to arrest accused Jahangir’s associates who were wanted in several theft cases in Abids, Begum Bazar, Pet Basheerabad and S R Nagar and other police station limits, police said.
