Man Avenges Daughter's Death

Nizamabad:A man murdered his deceased daughter’s father in-law at Mopal mandal in the district on Wednesday night, suspecting the latter's role in his child's death.

Satyanarayana, from Kanjar village, married off his daughter Bhavitha to Govardhan from the same village. Bhavitha conducted suicide two months ago.

Satyanarayana suspected Govardhan was responsible for the death.

On Wednesday, villagers were celebrating a local festival.

Taking advantage of the environment, Satyanarayana tried to murder Govardhan but in vain.

Noticing Govardhan's father Narahari, Satyanarayana, along with some others, sprinkled mirchi powder on Narahari and stabbed him.

Narahari died on the spot. The accused Satyanarayana escaped from Kanjar village.

Mopal police registered a case and are investigating. The body was shifted for post-mortem at Government General Hospital in Nizamabad.
