Man sentenced to 10 years for Ganja smuggling

Visakhapatnam: The IXth Additional Sessions Judge's Court in Chodavaram sentenced Tadi Raju, a resident of Dibbapalem village in Cheedikada Mandal, Anakapalli District, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 1 lakh for his involvement in a Ganja smuggling case.

The incident dates to October 10, 2013, when the accused was apprehended by the Chidikada Police during a vehicle check near Rajam Bridge. The police seized a significant quantity of marijuana from his possession and registered a case against him. Following a thorough investigation conducted under the supervision of then-District SP Tuhin Sinha, a charge sheet was filed in the court.
