Hyderabad:A 40-year-old software engineer, working with an IT major, died after reportedly slipping in the washroom of his hostel in Miyapur on Thursday morning. Miyapur sub-inspector Narasimhulu said the victim, Srikanth, was under the influence of alcohol and suffered from an episode of fits, leading to his fall. His body was spotted by a sweeper, who called the hostel watchman. They called the police, who began in inquiry.

Lorry Driver Arrested for Fatal Accident Near Medchal Checkpost

Hyderabad:The Medchal police on Friday arrested a lorry driver for causing the death of three members of a family near the Medchal checkpost on Sunday. Inspector A. Satyanarayana said the driver, Sahabu, 32, of Mevat, Haryana, was sent to remand.

On January 5, a family of four, was going on a bike to Yellampet to meet a friend. At around 4 pm, Sahabu, allegedly driving the lorry in a rash manner, hit the bike, leading to the family being run over. Three of them died on the spot, while a four-year-old is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Medchal.

Hayatnagar Police Arrest Eight Peddlers, Seize 6 kg Ganja

Hyderabad:The Hayatnagar police arrested eight peddlers and seized 6 kg ganja from them. Police arrested Nayini Shyam and his associates when they sold five 100-gram packets of ganja to consumers near a school in Hayatnagar.

The other accused were identified as Kandukuri Chandu, Bura Rajesh Kumar, Chitram Uday Kumar, Dasaramoni Raghavender, Jogu Varun Kumar, Gudimalla Mahesh, and Marri Akhil Raj.
