Two Arrested in Hyderabad Theft, Gold and Cash Seized

Hyderabad police arrest two in theft case, recovering ₹25 lakh in valuables, including gold, silver, and cash. Third suspect remains at large

Hyderabad: Chandanagar police arrested Darla Nehe Miya of Karnataka, and Kurva Nagesh of Medchal in a theft case and recovering 25 tolas of gold, 400 gm of silver, ₹ 29,750 in cash, and a two-wheeler, all amounting to ₹ 25 lakh, from them. A third accused is absconding.

The two were heading towards Suraram on the stolen bike. Two persons who received the stolen goods, Gimkalolu Souramma and M.G. Suresh were also taken into custody.

The police as acting on a complaint from Naidu Venkateswara Rao, a resident of Chandanagar, filed on August 10. He said that his wife and son had gone to the Shamshabad airport to drop his daughter. On their return at 4 am on August 11, they found that their two-wheeler was stolen and the lock of their house broken.

After stopping the duo during a check, police verified their antecedents and found that Nehe Miya was involved in 53 cases out of which 17 were from Cyberabad, 12 Hyderabad, six Rachakonda, seven Karnataka, nine Andhra Pradesh, and two from GRP Secunderabad.

He confessed to his involvement in 11 cases after getting nabbed. He was arrested 10 times previously and released from jail on May 2. Since then the accused has been involved in 11 cases, police said. The accused has been convicted in 13 cases so far.
