In a landmark achievement, Prayagraj Airport witnessed its first night flights in 106 years, marking the start of 24/7 operations. Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, described the occasion as a historic moment, emphasizing its significance for regional connectivity and the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025.

“This milestone is not just about connectivity; it’s about enabling millions of pilgrims to seamlessly reach Maha Kumbh 2025, uniting people from across the country and the world,” the minister posted on his X account.

The inaugural night flight carried 196 passengers, who now hold the distinction of being part of this golden chapter in Indian aviation. The move is set to enhance accessibility and modernize infrastructure, ensuring ease of travel for the sacred gathering, which celebrates India's cultural heritage and unity.

The government’s commitment to empowering regional aviation and facilitating pilgrim travel was evident as the minister extended his gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to this achievement.
