Nalgonda: Two bogies of an empty goods train derailed at Vishnupuram on the Guntur-Secunderabad route in Nalgonda district on Sunday, disrupting train traffic on the line.

Sabari Express was halted at Miryalaguda and the Janmabhoomi Express and Repalle passenger at Nalgonda for more than two hours as the track was being cleared. Falaknama Express and Vishaka Express were diverted through Warangal.

Railway officials rushed to the spot to clear the bogies, which derailed at about 2 pm, to clear the route for other trains.

Passengers faced much inconvenience with the train stopped under the hot sun for a long time. There are not many facilities at the Nalgonda station as most trains stop there for a minute.
