More alcohol flowing during these elections than past

Visakhapatnam: Manyam district election officer and collector Nishant Kumar announced on Saturday that they have seized 61,000 bottles of liquor worth Rs 2 crore during the current elections.
The seizure of liquor is 10 times more than that seized during 2019 elections.
Nishant Kumar said there are 1031 polling stations of which 219 come under the critical category. Section 144 has come into effect in the district from Saturday evenings throughout the district.
The election officer said polling in the district will continue till 7 p.m. on Monday, May 13. There will be 6,600 staff and 127 micro-observers who will be supervising the elections.
Nishant Kumar said house-to-house campaigning can continue. But there must be no loudspeakers or large groups of people.
The collector disclosed that total 604 FIRs have been registered in the district, 276 by the police department, 309 by excise department, three against employees, and four against politicians.
