Sangareddy: Patients along with attendants have a tough time in entering the Sangareddy Government Hospital due to dirty water collecting at the main gate, following the municipality’s negligence in cleaning the underground drainage.
Dirty water overflows on the main stretch leading to the government hospital. The patients vented their anger over negligence of municipal officials. Yadamma, 30, who had given birth and came to the hospital for a check-up had a tough time passing through the stretch. "I came along with my mother. We came on foot and found it difficult to cross the stretch because the drainage water was overflowing and water had stagnated on the premises," Yadamma told Deccan Chronicle.
Patients said the hospital authorities must complain to the municipal officials and get them to rectify the issue. "We not only have an issue with passing through the road, but also the foul smell emanating from the overflowing water which causes mosquito menace," Narsing Rao, an attendant at the hospital, said. Asked about the issue, hospital authorities replied that they had informed municipality officials and were waiting for action.
