Hyderabad: As Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu came to Hyderabad once again as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the supporters of the Telugu Desam (TD) dotted the roads, braving rain, from the Begumpet airport to his residence in Jubilee Hills.

Several parts of Hyderabad were decked up with yellow flags and flex banners featuring Naidu, Lokesh and also Pawan Kalyan, ahead of Naidu’s visit.

In spite of his visit getting delayed for over an hour, people lined up at the Begumpet Airport to give a rousing welcome to him by taking out a rally on bikes and cars. All along the rally, his admirers showered flowers on him and raised slogans praising him and his son and TD general secretary, Nara Lokesh.

Overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of people, Naidu waved at his supporters from his vehicle’s sunroof in the rain, forcing his security personnel to provide shade for him with an umbrella.

An IT employee at the Begumpet airport said that he just came to see Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and has no political affiliations.

“The AP Chief Minister’s visit to Hyderabad is a positive trend. It is an indication that the governments of both the Telugu states will not resort to divisive politics on the basis of region,” said T. Ramana, a techie at the Begumpet Airport.
