Hyderabad: Members of the GHMC's disaster response team on Wednesday saved a transperson from dying by suicide. A tweet on X from HYDRAA flagged the quick response from the DRF team that provided immediate CPR to the person and saved her life.

"Quick action by GHMC and DRF teams saved a transperson who attempted suicide at the Lingam Lake, Gajularamaram. The teams successfully rescued and administered CPR before transporting her to the hospital," the tweet mentioned.

State health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha lauded the efforts of the team. "I honour your remarkable act of bravery today. By stepping in and performing CPR, you have turned a moment of despair into a story of hope and recovery," the minister tweeted.
