Two police officers from Telangana receive President’s medal

Telangana Police officers, including ADGP Sanjay Kumar Jain and DCP Katakam Muralidhar, were awarded President's medals for distinguished and meritorious service

Hyderabad: Telangana Special Police (TGSP) Battalions Additional Director-General of Police, Sanjay Kumar Jain and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Katakam Muralidhar were selected for the President’s medal for distinguished service.

Seven officers from Telangana including Khammam Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt were chosen for Gallantry medal, and half a dozen officers including Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty were selected for medal for meritorious services.

These medals were announced by the Central government on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations.

Half a dozen other officers, who were selected for Gallantry medal, are Deputy Assault Commander/Reserve Inspector, Mora Kumar, Assistant Assault Commander/Reserve Sub-Inspector, Shanigarapu Santhosh, Junior Commandos/ Police Constables, Amili Suresh, Velmula Vamshi, Payam Ramesh and Kampati Upender.

Apart from Mohanty, Syed Jameel Basha, Commandant, P Krishna Murthy, Additional Superintendent of Police, Komarabattini Ramu, Sub Inspector, Abdul Rafeeq, Sub Inspector, Ikram Ab Khan, Sub Inspector, Shriniwasa Mishra, Sub Inspector, Kunchala Balakashaiah, Sub Inspector, A Laxmaiah, Assistant Sub Inspector, Gunti Venkateshwarlu, Assistant Sub Inspector, and Nuthalapati Gnana Sundari, Inspector, were selectd for medal for meritorious services.
