Manyam Collector Pushes for Swift STP Completion

The Collector emphasised the need for a holistic approach to urban cleanliness, proposing the "Swachha Sundara Parvathipuram" concept as a model program.

Visakhapatnam: Parvathipuram Manyam district collector A. Shyam Prasad has directed municipal officials to expedite the completion of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) across Parvathipuram and Saluru municipalities, as well as Palakonda panchayat. He issued these instructions during a review meeting held at the collectorate on Tuesday.

In his address, the collector highlighted key initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure and sanitation. He stressed the immediate completion of STPs, implementation of enhanced sanitation measures, provision of safe drinking water, and protection of municipal commercial plots. The announced plans for a drone-based infrastructure survey to assess road conditions, drainage systems, and public parks.

The collector also introduced the "swachha sundara parvathipuram" initiative, promoting community involvement in urban cleanliness. He urged the renovation of public toilets within one month, pay-and-use models, and operational septic cleaning vehicles in Saluru.
