Vizianagaram admin clamps 3-tier security

Visakhapatnam: Vizianagaram police have announced comprehensive security measures to ensure a smooth and peaceful counting on June 4.
Outlining an elaborate security plan, Superintendent of Police M. Deepika said, a robust three-tier security system has been established at Lendi Engineering College where the counting will take place. Central forces will provide security at the strong rooms and counting centers.
Also armed reserve and APSC forces will secure the perimeter around the strong rooms and counting buildings. She further stated that civil police will be deployed for overall security duties. Additionally, cutoff parties will monitor the area within a 2 km radius of the college.
She emphasised that Section 144 will be enforced throughout the district on the counting day, prohibiting assembly of people. Victory rallies and use of ammunition are strictly forbidden and agents are advised not to bring electronic gadgets, smartwatches, calculators, or meals to the counting centers.
She warned that any disturbances would result in strict legal action and special attention will be given to 100 villages identified as potential hotspots for post-election unrest, with pickets and special quick reaction teams ready to respond immediately.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow on counting day, several diversions have been planned. From Visakhapatnam to Vizianagaram, vehicles will be diverted via Nathavala National Highway through Maharajupeta and Shilpa Medicare at Modavalasa Junction.
Towards Visakhapatnam from Vizianagaram, check posts at Viti Agraharam Y-Junction will redirect vehicles towards Kothavalasa or Padmanabham via Ramanarayanam. Additional diversions at Aginada and Jonnada junctions will route traffic through Akkivaram National Highway via Chinthalavalasa and Gantlam.
From Gajapatinagar to Visakhapatnam, vehicles will be redirected from Koradapet bridge to Chinnapuram or Kothalavalasa via Gotlam bypass road.
