Telangana CM KCR can sell only dreams, says BJP
TRS government and the MIM are reason for delay in implementation of Metro Rail project.
Hyderabad: TS BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Wednesday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of “selling only dreams” to the people, with no concrete work being done in Hyderabad or the state.
Narrating a scene from Telugu film “Aha Na Pellanta,” Mr Reddy said actor Kota Srinivas Rao was seen offering chicken biryani to his brother-in-law while displaying a live chicken.
“Like Kota who promises biryani to the guest, but gives some white rice and shows a chicken, asking him to imagine he is eating chicken biryani, KCR is indulging in a similar tactics.
He is taking the people on a royal ride. From day one, he is lying. He promised to make a Dalit the CM, but backtracked and became CM himself,” he said.
He was speaking at a Meet the Press programme organised by the Hyderabad Press Club here.
“The 2BHK houses are only on billboards in the city and notices have been put up at Hyderabad collectorate and MRO offices that no applications are being accepted for the scheme. There is no Budget for the scheme.
KCR is promising world-class roads by showing a downloaded image,” he said.
Mr Kishan Reddy continued: “KCR adopted Pattigadda during the Swachh Hyderabad campaign but dumped it later; backtracked on shifting the Secretariat, new tank at Indira Park, shifting of Chest Hospital and Osmania Hospital. One day, he says he will turn Hyderabad into London, another day Istanbul or New York,” he said.
Blaming the TRS government and the MIM for delay in implementation of Metro Rail project, Mr Kishan Reddy alleged that the MIM was stalling the project in Old City and not allowing even the survey to go ahead.
“TRS and MIM are hand-in-glove. The government is backing MIM to the hilt. They have an understanding in the GHMC elections too. TRS will leave MIM strongholds and contest in other areas,” he said. he said.
“KCR promises auto trolleys while scores of rickshaws to carry garbage need repairs,” the BJP leader said.
