AIADMK hopes to woo more women votes

Jayalalithaa has directed the women's wing to reach out to women voters across the State.

Chennai: The ruling AIADMK is hoping to get more women votes in the coming Assembly polls.

Party general secretary and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has directed the women’s wing to reach out to women voters across the State.

Based on her direction, the wing secretary and Minister Gokula Indira conducted a  meeting. Party district secretaries have been directed to assist women’s wing office-bearers to conduct meetings in all districts.

During the meetings, the achievements of the AIADMK government will be highlighted. Leaflets will be distributed to people. Meanwhile, the party headquarters has received 8,500 applications from party cadres and leaders to contest in the polls.
